Fabric first opened on 21st October 1999; though it started as an idea many years prior to that. The building alone took over three years to convert but the club now stands proudly in the renovated space of the Metropolitan Cold Stores in Farringdon, London.
Simply put, fabric was conceived by people that go to clubs, for people that go to clubs. The club has three separate rooms (two of which feature stages for live acts) which each have their own independent sound systems. Aside from the unisex toilets, a unique feature of the club is the vibrating floor in Room One. Known as a "bodysonic" dancefloor, sections of the floors are attached to 450 bass transducers which emit bass frequencies, allowing clubbers to feel the music through the low end frequencies transmitted into their skeletons via their feet.
The club occupies a total area of 25, 000 square feet.

Our Friday night programming, FABRICLIVE, exists to unite the ever morphing strains of club music. Why? Because music evolves in elliptical circles and, as an art form, it seems to exist completely in cycles. And throughout these new and changing musical manifestations FABRICLIVE has always existed to simply curate and align the best of these new sounds, acting as a respected stamp of approval that unites disparate sounds and scenes under the one roof and often on the same night.

Sunday nights (and consequently Monday mornings) in London have been irrevocably changed since September 2007, thanks to the notorious, unstoppable WetYourSelf crew of Cormac, Peter Pixzel and Jacob Husley. Named in relation to the original venue for their club nights, Club Aquarium, which is equipped with its own pool, the WYS! team are fuelled by their joint desire to bring serious dancefloor hedonism to Sunday nights. Presenting quality music in an unpretentious way, they began hosting Sunday nights here at fabric in February 2009 and since then, the DJs that have performed at their cult-followed night is a staggering, veritable who’s who of dance music that includes Miss Kittin, DJ Hell, Sascha Funke, Ben Klock, Dave DK, Martin Buttrich, Marc Houle, Popof, Gaiser, Alex Under, Martinez, Oliver Koletzki, Italoboyz and Argy to name but a few.
